Some people discover their creative side. Emily's parents discovered hers when they came home to find she'd painted her bedroom ceiling. By high school, she was designing and sewing clothes her classmates actually paid money for. An early adopter of the ask forgiveness, not permission school of thought.

After Middlebury, Emily landed at Harper's Bazaar, producing shoots with legendary photographers Patrick Demarchelier and Peter Lindbergh. Somewhere between fashion and fine art, she developed a fascination with the business of beautiful things, which led her to Columbia for her MBA.

Next stop: Bloomingdale's, where she spent a decade buying luxury fashion, developing private-label collections, and eventually landing a strategy role created just for her. Creative instincts, meet spreadsheet.

In 2019, Emily and Jen launched EGB Interiors. What began as a side hustle became a full-blown obsession, then a full-time business. Her father's advice to "be your own boss" finally stuck. Apparently, having twelve jobs at once was the dream.

Today, she brings that same love of fashion, art, color, and all things collected to interiors. She's never met an emerging artist she didn't want to discover, a textile rabbit hole she couldn't disappear down, or a detail too small to obsess over.

Off the clock (a relative term), she's coaching girls lacrosse, raising money for Bailey's Warriors and Cycle for Survival, plotting the next family adventure, or making her grandmother's vodka sauce with her three kids.

The through line? A lifelong love of beautiful things, a slightly irrepressible entrepreneurial streak, and the belief that great design, like great fashion, should have personality, tell a story, and never take itself too seriously.

And yes, she still thinks painting the ceiling is a perfectly reasonable idea. Her parents have recovered.

Some people are born with an eye for design. Jen was practically raised in a fabric showroom.

The daughter of an interior designer, Jen grew up surrounded by wallpaper samples, fabric swatches, and the beautiful chaos of a creative workspace. Her mother will tell you she was happiest with a pen and paper in hand, a love affair that continues today. Hand-drawn floor plans, meticulous notes, handwritten thank-yous (on actual stationery). Decidedly old-school in all the best ways.

That creative curiosity led her to study Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, and Design at the University of Rhode Island before heading to NYC for a career in fashion.

For seven years, she immersed herself in fabric, color, and product development, creating denim collections, collaborating with production teams in Mexico, and making twice-yearly pilgrimages to Paris for Première Vision. Beautiful fabrics in Paris? Someone had to do it.

After trading city life for the suburbs, Jen stepped into her favorite role yet: mom to three. A chance friendship with Emily turned into countless conversations about their shared obsession with interiors. In 2019, they decided to stop talking about it and start doing something about it. EGB Interiors was born.

Today, Jen brings a textile lover's eye, a designer's precision, and an almost unreasonable appreciation for the details to every project. From scheming fabrics to sketching layouts, she believes beautiful design should be as livable as it is lovely.

When she's not buried in fabric memos, you'll find her cheering on her kids, cooking, dancing, or enjoying time with family and friends, probably in a room she's already mentally redesigned twice.

The through line? A lifelong love of textiles, an appreciation for craftsmanship, and the belief that the most beautiful homes are the ones filled with life.

And while the rest of us have gone digital, Jen will still take a sharpened pencil and a fresh sheet of paper any day. Some things simply don't need improving.
